Pakistan declares US-based Gulen’s group a terrorist organization

India’s disproportionately high population of Dalits, Adivasis lodged in jails
By Abdus Sattar Ghazali: A report by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) says, “Dalits and Adivasis - two of the most vulnerable sections of Indian society - make up a considerable number of India’s prison population.”Adivasi is the collective term for the indigenous peoples of mainland South Asia. Adivasi make up 8.2% of India's population, or 104 million people, according to the 2011 census. Dalits are at the bottom of the Hindu caste system and despite laws to protect them, they still face widespread discrimination in India. According to the latest census, they comprise 16.2 % of India's population (166 million people). The NCRB report says that these two communities account for about 24.4 per cent of the country’s population, but constitute 34 per cent of prisoners. Read More

Abandon Islam to make peace with India: Indian General
By Abdus Sattar Ghazali: As the ruling Bhartia Janta Party and its affiliates seek to see India a HINDU state by 2023, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat has said that Pakistan has to abandon Islam and become a secular state for peace with India. Reacting to the statement by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan that if France and Germany can stay together why not India and Pakistan, General Rawat said that for Pakistan to stay together with India, it will first have to become a secular state.
